Opening Hours/Fees

Family Eye & Vision Centre will be open for regular hours in 2023 Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturdays by appointment only 9:00am to 1:00pm.

You may still be requested to wear a mask while you are in the practice, so please bring one, just in case. We can provide you with a mask if you don’t have one for a fee of 50c.

Please postpone your visit to the practice if you are not well.  If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing you should call the QLD Government Health Advice Line 13 43 25 84 and seek medical attention.

If you have an urgent eye condition but have been asked to self-isolate due to the possibility of COVID-19 infection we recommend that you contact the Princess Alexandra Hospital emergency department on (07) 3176 2111 as their staff will have access to protective gear.

We offer Bulk Billing consultations for Pensioners and Health Care Card holders on Tuesday afternoons and Thursday mornings (half hour appointments).

Full/Pensioner/Kids(Student) initial consultations are 1 hour
BV: Binocular Assessment

Rebates

Rebates are done on the day through Medicare Online Claiming where rebates go directly into your nominated bank account. Current rebates as of 1st July 2022 are: $60.00 for a full consultation and $30.05 for a short consultation.

Family Eye & Vision Centre has been improving the sight of the people of the Redlands since 2002.  We pride ourselves on excellent eye care and ongoing service. Our aim is to help all ages of the Redland community to have clear vision and heathy eyes.

Family Eye & Vision Centre is owned by husband and wife Optometrists Alan Pang and Jane Ingerman. We are a family owned and operated independent practice, not a multinational corporation or franchise.

We take pride in our optical dispensing and comprehensive eye examination service. Thank you for choosing us as your family Optometrist.

Family Eye & Vision Centre is located in Thornlands at 2 Panorama Drive.

We are in a small 1960’s house situated beside Thornlands Medical Centre/TFI Dentistry and opposite Thornlands Primary School.

Family Eye & Vision Centre is near the intersection of Cleveland-Redland Bay Road/Bloomfield St, South Street and Panorama Drive. You can access our private parking lot from Cleveland-Redland Bay Road or by travelling south along Panorama Drive.

Our spacious practice has wheelchair access via a ramp.

Alternatively, bus routes 250 and 272 stop directly out the front of the practice on Cleveland-Redland Bay Road.

Our practice was relocated from Victoria Point in 2014.
